Ukrainian Forces Strike Building with russians Inside in Kursk Region with GBU-39/B SDB (Video)

The Defense Forces of Ukraine have launched a precision strike against russian troops, as evidenced by a video from the Khorne group unit of the 116th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

The video shows the moment of hitting the House of Culture in the village of Vesyoloye, which is only 2.5 km from the border with Ukraine. At the same time, taking into account the smashed windows and other damage, this building is known as a location of the russian military.

The Khorne group noted that the strike was a response to russian attack on the Poltava Institute of Communications and called for “bringing more conscripts and paratroopers,” who were apparently in the building at the time of the strike.

It should also be added that the GBU-39/B SDB glide bombs, which are actively used by Ukrainian Air Force with MiG-29 aircraft, was used to hit russian positions. At the same time, the low weight of the munition (130 kg, of which the warhead accounts for 93 kg) is perfectly compensated by its accuracy and the possibility of detonation inside the building, after breaking through the roof.

Ukraine is actively using high-precision bombs of the SDB type. They have proven to be much more effective than GLSDB, when launched from aircraft. This may be due to the shorter range of use and potentially shorter time that the SDB is exposed to EW.

Precision-guided bombs, such as JDAM-ER, played an important role in destruction russian crossings of the Seym river, south of which the village of Vesyoloye is located.

Earlier War Ukraine-Russia News Hub reported that russia’s effort to liberate Kursk Oblast had had the opposite effect.
