The UK has secured a nearly £30 million contract to supply Ukraine with cutting-edge loitering munitions, reinforcing its commitment to military aid as Ukraine continues to resist russian aggression. The deal, backed by the International Fund for Ukraine, will see Anduril UK provide the Altius 600M and Altius 700M drones, advanced unmanned systems designed for precision strikes on enemy targets.

Defense Secretary John Healey MP visited Anduril’s headquarters in Washington D.C. ahead of his meeting with the U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth at the Pentagon. The agreement follows a high-level summit in London, where the UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and allied leaders reaffirmed their support for Ukraine’s defense capabilities.

The Altius-600M drone offers extended loitering time of up to 4 hours and multiple warhead configurations, while the Altius-700M UAV can carry payloads of up to 15 kilograms, significantly enhancing Ukraine’s ability to counter russian forces. This procurement underscores the UK’s ongoing efforts to provide Kyiv with the necessary firepower to strengthen its battlefield position and push for a just peace.
