France allocates a new package of defense assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 195 million euros (about $211.25 million), which will be paid for from the profits of frozen assets of the Russian Federation, the package will include, in particular, artillery ammunition and aerial bombs.

The allocation of another package of defense assistance to Ukraine was announced by the French head of the Defense Ministry, Sebastien Lecornu, to the publication La Tribune Dimanche. He noted that we are talking, in particular, about the transfer of an unspecified number of 155-mm shells, as well as AASM-type aerial bombs, other details about this pact are not disclosed.

Lecornu also touched upon the issue of previous defense aid packages that France has already allocated to Ukraine, in particular, he announced plans to speed up the supply of weapons and military equipment, we are talking about AMX-10RC and VAB armored vehicles.

Lecornu also named the priorities for rearmament for the French army, primarily ammunition and electronic warfare systems, then drones and robotization in general.

The minister also recalled plans to speed up the pace of deliveries of Rafale fighters from Dassault Aviation – earlier we talked about the fact that Dassault already wants to multiply production from two to four to five aircraft per month as of 2026, while the queue for Rafale has already grown to 9 years.

In addition, Lecornu recalled that there are plans to increase the production rate of AASM bombs – this became known at the end of last year, tentatively we are talking about increasing production to 1200 bombs per year.
