The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is rapidly advancing innovative projects to secure a technological edge on the battlefield. One such project is currently in the testing phase, focusing on the integrated use of ground and aerial robotic and unmanned systems for specific combat missions. Specialists involved in the project believe that realizing this concept is a near-future prospect.
“The Defense Minister and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have prioritized the development and widespread deployment of robotic systems. This requires systemic solutions and changes. The realities of war impose new demands. We must respond swiftly to these challenges, always stay ahead of the enemy, and invest heavily in innovative war tools to enhance our battlefield capabilities,” First Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk, stated.
Testing is underway at one of the Armed Forces’ training grounds, where various unmanned systems are being integrated into the overall combat operations. Robots, including reconnaissance drones, remotely controlled machine guns, sapper robots, and ground logistics robots, are performing combat tasks.
