Rashists Ready to Test Nuclear Cruise Missile 9M730 “Burevestnik”

It seems that the ruscists are preparing to conduct new tests of their nuclear cruise missile 9M730 “Burevestnik”, from the category of super “analogue”. In particular, the Russian aviation authorities issued a NOTAM from August 7 to 12 with an area of 40,000 square kilometers over the island of Novaya Zemlya.

Also, at least four Russian ships that were previously anchored near the Pankovo test site have taken up observation positions in the eastern Barents Sea, which comply with safety protocols during large-scale missile tests. This is reported by the publication Defense Romania.

In addition, over the past couple of weeks, cargo ships have docked on the island of Novaya Zemlya several times, which indicates a certain cargo operation. And finally, two specialized Rosatom surveillance aircraft were spotted at the airfields of the archipelago, which also seems to indicate the planned tests.

However, we add from News Hub that it is unclear why Western analysts decided that it was the 9M730 Burevestnik cruise missile that was tested. It is worth mentioning here that the Western media consistently mention this missile once a year in the context of possible planned tests, which has happened now.

It is also worth noting that there is currently little information about this 9M730 Burevestnik nuclear cruise missile. It was reported that it should be equipped with a nuclear engine, which should supposedly provide an unlimited flight range, but it is not clear how exactly it should work. But it seems that it turns on only after the launch of the rocket itself from the transport and launch container using a solid-propellant rocket booster.

It is planned that this missile will be launched in advance, and it will fly somewhere and wait for the command to attack, and then choose the most unexpected routes. Thus, the Russians believe that the missile will definitely be able to achieve its goal, and in general it will become a “child prodigy”.

However, given its impressive size of 12 meters in length, it should not be so difficult to detect it, and therefore intercept it too. Therefore, this “analog” strategy and development looks rather strange and incomprehensible.
