How russia Repels Ukrainian Drone Attacks in Its Rear on Example of Tuapse Oil Refenery (Video)
The Defense Forces of Ukraine began methodically launching long-range strikes against russian rear facilities. An example of this is the attack on the oil refinery in Tuapse.
It is worth recalling that the first attack on this facility took place in February 2023, when an oil depot near this refinery was hit. On January 25, 2024 drones managed to disable a crude oil distillation unit when they had just begun to reach russian refineries.
The next strike took place on May 17 during the largest attack. This happened when the russian federation announced the completion of repairs at this refinery. This strike was filmed by local residents. According to the video, russian air defense was represented by hunting rifles.
Another attack took place on Monday, July 22, against the same refinery in Tuapse. It was also filmed by local residents in great detail. The video shows еру hitting of this refinery by Liutyi Ukrainian drone. This allows us to assess russia’s efforts to strengthen the air defense of this facility. In particular, it is possible to hear the operation of small arms.
At the same time, there were no signs of anti-aircraft artillery or SAM systems. Moreover, the usage of tracer bullets, which are mandatory for precision fire on the airborne threats, was not observed.
Thus, the only one conclusion can be drawn. Despite the fact that the Tuapse refinery is a regular target for Ukraine, russians failed to provide the air defense for this facility even after several attacks.
Earlier News Hub reported Ukrainian paratroopers had destroyed the russian Tor SAM system in temporarily occupied Donetsk.
