“In the evening, before the start of the curfew or directly during its operation, the attackers, if necessary, posing as military personnel, entered the premises, took money and valuables. The thieves took a variety of property: from coffee makers to sports equipment and light bulbs,” it says . in the message.
They could not be caught for several months. During this time, the attackers robbed 7 objects. Property worth a total of more than 2 million hryvnia was taken away.
But the police were able to notice on surveillance camera footage that the same car was parked nearby during several thefts. During the next theft, the attackers were already ambushed.
It turned out that the detainees were residents of Nikolaev, 40 and 43 years old. One of them has already been prosecuted for theft more than once.
During the search, a whole arsenal of weapons was confiscated from them – grenades, pistols, machine guns, rifles, knives, mine casings, a large number of cartridges, ammunition and shells of various modifications. And also about 5 kg of cannabis. Hydraulic shears, pliers, crowbars, various picks, screwdrivers and other tools were also found.
The attackers were informed of suspicion of theft and taken into custody. They face imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years.
