SBU Displays Testing of Ukraine’s First Drone “Sea Baby” Donated by Ukrainians – Video and Photo Report 40521

As noted, the first sample of this batch, which the SBU showed during testing, was named “Avdiivka”. It differs from the previous generation, including in appearance. “Sea baby” released in 2024 is a new generation drone, improved and even more lethal to the enemy.

“The future lies precisely in technological approaches to war. The SBU today is trying to be the first in this direction, and it is really succeeding. In the ranks of the service, we have raised unique specialists in naval drones in order to further improve and scale up the work of clearing the Black Sea from the enemy. Our task : destroy the occupiers and bring Victory closer,” said SBU Chairman Vasily Malyuk.

Sea Baby Training

The SBU notes that, like every model of maritime drones, Avdeevka will undergo a full cycle of sea tests. In the process, the SBU development team will adapt the latest airborne weapons specifically designed and manufactured for use on the multi-role platforms, “Sea Baby”.

“The new SeaBaby 2024 has improved technical characteristics, greater combat and maneuverability. It is capable of delivering almost a ton of explosives over a thousand kilometers. The SBU conceived this drone as a universal platform on which various weapons will be placed,” said SBU Brigadier General Hunter “.

Sea Baby Training

A large-scale fundraiser for sea drones was organized by the UNITED24 fundraising platform together with monobank and Oleg Gorokhovsky, volunteers Sergei Sternenko and Igor Lachenkov. In record time, thanks to Ukrainian business, international donors and Ukrainians, almost 300 million hryvnia were collected for 35 SBU Sea Baby sea drones.

It is worth recalling that it was with the help of naval drones that the SBU blew up the Crimean bridge and hit a total of 11 Russian warships.
