Azov. There is probably no unit of the Russo-Ukrainian War whose name commands that much fear and respect. Azov liberated Mariupol in 2014, and defended the city till the bitter end in 2022. Many of their fighters have been in Russian captivity for more than 500 days. Those who have returned, have taken up arms again and are fighting in one of the most difficult areas of the front: The Serebryansky forest near Kreminna.Our team embedded with Azov to document their combat work: under the bright sun, and under moonlight.
