The counter-intelligence of the Security Service detained an agent of the Russian military intelligence who was correcting Russian missile attacks on Zaporizhzhia. It was established that on his instructions the occupiers shelled residential buildings in the village of Stepnohirsk on the eve of 2024. At that time, a 43-year-old man died as a result of an enemy strike, and many private homes were damaged or completely destroyed. According to the investigation, the guard of the local kindergarten turned out to be the adjuster of the enemy fire. In December of last year, the man was recruited remotely by a representative of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (known as Gru). He came to the attention of the occupiers through his acquaintance, a chorister of the local UOC (MP) church, who fled to the temporarily captured part of Zaporizhzhia, where she works for the special services of the aggressor country. According to the instructions of the Russian game agent, the agent collected intelligence about the locations and movements of the Defense Forces in the Zaporozhye region.
