Border guards of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi detachment demonstrated the destruction of a Russian Shaheds. They landed the drone in the water, the press service of the State Border Guard Service.
“Border guards of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi detachment hit the enemy Shahed with accurate shots. The drone fell into the water,” the press service of the State Border Guard Service writes.
On the night of December 13, Russian Army once again attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones. The UAVs were launched from the area of Balaklava, temporarily occupied Crimea. All drones were successfully destroyed. Most of them landed over Odesa region – in the area of responsibility of the “South” Air Command.
Recently, one of Russia’s downed Shahed drones was reportedly found with a Ukrainian SIM card inside, suggesting that the technology was used to pilot the explosive attack drone, according to war analysts.
The Institute for the Study of War said in that Russian forces were reportedly using SIM cards from Kyivstar, the largest telecommunications operator in Ukraine, “to control Shahed drones” in Moscow’s grinding war against Kyiv. ISW cited a Ukrainian source that reported that “a downed Russian Shahed drone included a Kyivstar SIM card, which reportedly allows Russian forces to exploit the Kyivstar mobile network to track the drone’s location and change its flight path.”
