Andryushchenko reports first sighting of civilian truck column in Mariupol transporting goods towards Berdyansk amidst Ukraine war. (VIDEO)
The Russian invaders use civilian trucks to transport military cargo.
This was reported by the mayor’s adviser Petro Andryushchenko, War Ukraine-Russia News Hub reports.
“For the first time on Sunday, the movement of a unit using civilian trucks (covered vans) as part of a convoy was recorded. During the transportation, places were established for the placement of personnel and engineering and fortification structures that were transported in an open manner. It was not possible to establish what exactly was transported by the civilian-looking trucks “, the message says.
It is noted that the column moved through the center of Mariupol in the direction of occupied Berdyansk.
“It is the escort from the Eastern border to the Western exit from the village of Mangush that gives us the confidence to affirm the use of civilian transport in a convoy. Earlier, we also recorded the separate use of civilian transport – vans for military purposes. However, the use in an organized convoy was recorded for the first time,” he added Andryushchenko.
