The Impact of the Night Air Attack: Destruction in Odesa and Kharkiv Regions
Last night, the Russian invaders hit Kharkiv with four S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, which cannot be shot down by our air defense, from the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation and one more from the occupied part of Donetsk region.
Also, the aggressor launched 14 kamikaze drones of the Iranian “Shahed” type from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov (Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation) and Cape Chauda in the southeast of the occupied Crimea.
Our anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups destroyed 11 barrage ammunition within Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
The command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in a morning briefing on its Facebook page.
In turn, the press service of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine confirmed this and clarified that the main strike was focused on Odesa, as a result of which six civilians were injured. A high-rise building in Khadzhibey district and a two-story building in Primorsky were seriously damaged, several cars burned, many windows were broken.
“The enemy used tried-and-tested tactical tricks — entered from the sea area at low altitudes, resorted to complex maneuvers. “Unfortunately, the downed drones followed an inertial trajectory and flew to residential areas.”
In addition, the enemy hit the warehouse of a furniture factory in the industrial district of Odessa. A powerful fire broke out due to a large amount of flammable substances.
According to preliminary data of the local authorities, one house was destroyed in Rohan, Kharkiv district, the neighboring ones were seriously damaged, and four local residents were injured.
