The explosions and fire occurred on the northern outskirts of Sevastopol in the temporarily occupied Crimea, approximately in the area of the Belbek airfield. Smoke can be seen from different parts of the city.

Aviation was lifted from the airport into the air to save it from destruction.

This was reported by the Telegram channel “Krymsky Veter” and published a photo.

Before that, an air alert was announced on the peninsula and traffic on the Crimean Bridge was blocked. The authorities of the occupiers reported on the successful work of air defense.

At the same time, the locals also reported that many fire engines went to the Belbek airfield in the area of the fire.

In Sevastopol, the smell of burnt rubber and petroleum products was strong.

“There were explosions, we had two deaf people, and the windows shook. A relative who lives near Sak said that there were very powerful explosions,” residents told Suspilny Crimea.

We will remind you that yesterday the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully hit the radar station of the Russian air defense system near the village of Rozdolne, located in the north of the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Also, yesterday it became known about a sailor from the Novocherkassk naval base, who was destroyed on December 26 by the Defense Forces of Ukraine in Crimea. On the website of the Gymnasium named after O.S. Pushkin” there was a message about the dead senior sailor Ihor Meshcheryakov.
