This was stated in a comment to the YouTube channel RBC-Ukraine by a serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Territorial Defense Forces, military expert Oleksandr Musienko.
He emphasized that russia’s massive attacks on Ukraine are a natural thing, especially against the background of the fact that the United States has suspended the transfer of aid to Ukraine, as well as the exchange of intelligence.
“Unfortunately, it is natural. I would not like this to happen, but he (russian dictator vladimir putin – ed.) heard about the suspension of aid and thinks that we should try to exhaust the Ukrainian air defense system. This is obvious. And that is why such actions will be taken,” Musienko added.
According to the expert, he does not believe that the shooting down of the russian A-50 was a demonstration of force. Such actions of the aggressor do not affect Ukraine. Moreover, the Ukrainian defenders have already shot down A-50 aircraft.

“They (russian invaders – ed.) generally want to study our capabilities. They need additional elements in order to act and, perhaps, make their air strikes more effective. And here it seems to me that, unfortunately, this is not just some kind of show or propaganda for demonstration. This, most likely, may also be preparation for strikes,” he specified.
Musienko believes that russia “will look for all its missiles in the warehouses” in order to strike Ukraine now in order to create a stronger negotiating position for itself and try to demoralize the Ukrainians.
“I think that putin’s intentions may be obvious. While, at least, there is no truce in the sky, it is not known at all whether it will happen. At least, on the Ukrainian side, there is such a will, and it is constructive. But we understand that so far russia’s actions demonstrate that they do not support such a decision, at least for now. Therefore, the risks of attacks, large-scale ones, of course, remain,” the expert emphasized.
