The use of mock-ups on the battlefield is currently a common practice, employed by both the Ukrainian military and the enemy forces. This can range from mock-ups of small electronic warfare devices to tanks, self-propelled artillery units, and even anti-aircraft missile systems.

At the same time, with a quality camera, reconnaissance drones can effectively detect such “fake” enemy positions today, even considering their thorough elaboration with additional details and simulated active activities on the ground.
