The Military Forces successfully defended against invaders in the Kupyansk area.
Russian invaders have made confirmed advances in the Kupyan (Svativ) direction (the northernmost part of the front in the Kharkiv and Luhansk regions) yesterday.
Experts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), among other things, said this without specifics in the latest report on the situation on the fronts in Ukraine on February 1.
In turn, the authoritative domestic compiler of front-line maps and military expert “DeepState” did not record the aggressor’s advances in this area when updating his map.
On the contrary, “DeepState” noted the expansion of the gray zone towards the enemy near occupied Pershotravnevo (east of Kupyansk). See the screenshots of his map for January 31 and February 1, on the latter we tentatively marked this place with a blue arrow.
The interventionists retreated, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not gain a foothold in the new territory, at least not yet.
