The military stabilized the situation in the Mariinsky area
On February 4, the Russian invaders made apparently confirmed advances in the area of the recently occupied Maryinka. Experts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported this without specifics or indicating the sources of information in today’s report on the situation on the fronts in Ukraine.
However, the fighters of the 46th separate airmobile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who are fighting in the Mariinsky direction, do not actually agree with this. Their report for the past day was published by the “Donbas Operative” Telegram channel: “In general, the situation has stabilized. Let’s exhale for now. The enemy has no serious advances.”
However, the hostilities, of course, did not stop: “The main direction of the (invaders’) efforts is the Novomykhailiv ledge. Every day airstrikes are carried out on the remnants of the village. The activity (of the enemy) in the direction of Sweety-Vodyane has practically ceased.”
In addition: “The enemy is taking the Pobyeda – Vugledar and Kostyantynivka – Uspenivka routes under fire control to worsen logistics and rotation (ZSU). The directions of the settlements of Georgiyivka, Pobyeda, Krasnohorivka are used by the enemy to exert pressure, restrain forces and maneuver reserves in the entire Mariinsky direction.”
