The Netherlands is preparing €122 million worth of military aid to Ukraine, Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren said, the press service of the country’s government reports.
This amount will be allocated to various needs. €87 million will be allocated for the purchase of 155-mm artillery ammunition for Ukraine. Another €25 million will be directed to the International Fund for Ukraine. It finances the purchase of military equipment directly from manufacturers. Among other things, it is about air defense systems, ammunition and spare parts.
The rest of the funds from €122 million will be directed by the Netherlands to strengthen cyber defense in Ukraine. Earlier, the country joined the IT coalition.
“It is very important to support Ukraine not only in the short term, but also in the long term. Especially now it is important to show that we are helping Ukraine.” – said the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Kaisa Ollongren.
Ukraine and Belgium signed a memorandum on joint production of weapons. The projects of the countries will lead to the growth of the potential and production volumes of the Ukrainian defense industry.
