The occupiers focused their main offensive efforts on the Donetsk region
The Russian occupiers shifted their main offensive efforts to the southern face of the Mariinsky direction – on the border with the Ugledarsky (Shakhtarsky) direction.
This was reported by the “Donbas Operative” Telegram channel.
“They are attacking with a wide front to the south of Novomykhailivka in the area of Solonenka creek in the direction of Vodyanyi. One of the targets of the enemy is the section of the road О0532 Vugledar – Kostyantynivka,” the resource notes.
It can be seen from the published map that, in case of success, the aggressor will make the earlier failed task of capturing the unconquered town of Vugledar much easier by entering it from the eastern flank.
However, at the current rate of progress that we have seen in the previous days, it will take months for the interventionists to do so.
Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the following in the morning summary about this section of the front:
“In the Mariinsky direction, our defenders continue to hold back the enemy near Krasnohorivka, Georgiivka, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region, where seventeen attacks were repulsed. The occupiers did not conduct offensive (assault) actions in the Shakhtarsky direction.”
