According to the British Ministry of Defense, Russia has lost more than 1,000 tanks and armored vehicles in the last 4 months. Despite this, the aggressor country will retain the ability to replenish combat losses and continue this level of offensive activity in the near future. They consider British military analysts.
Observers note that the ground military forces of the Russian Federation have suffered large-scale losses in Ukraine since the beginning of the large-scale invasion. These are 2,600 main battle tanks and 4,900 other military armored vehicles.
British experts also reported that in 2023, losses of Russian equipment compared to the previous year decreased by approximately 40%.
“It is more likely that the decrease in the rate of depletion of armored vehicles occurred due to the increasingly positional nature of the conflict in 2023. And also due to the fact that Russia spent a significant part of the year on the defensive.” – the message says.
From the beginning of October 2023, the Russian military began active military operations in the east of Ukraine. During this period, the occupiers suffered significant losses. We are talking about approximately 365 tanks and 700 armored vehicles, which is more than 1,000 units of armored vehicles. Despite this, the territorial successes of the Russian Federation turned out to be meager.
“However, Russia is likely to be able to produce at least 100 tanks per month and will therefore retain the ability to replenish combat losses and continue this level of offensive activity for the foreseeable future.” – the British Ministry of Defense notes.
We will remind you that the other day the fighters of the 63rd Brigade smashed a Russian armored column in the Kreminsk direction.
