The work of the Ukrainian drone Saker Scout with artificial intelligence was shown by the military. The drone has a target recognition function and can identify 64 objects.
Saker Scout works even where the occupier has protected himself with electronic warfare systems. Its flight range is up to 10 km.
Drones without the participation of operators have already struck the occupiers.
Saker Scout drones are capable of detecting and attacking various types of Russian military targets in areas where radio interference interferes with communication with other aircraft.
These small quadcopters can carry up to three kilograms of bombs and have already proven their effectiveness in destroying heavy tanks. The artificial intelligence technology used in these drones was originally developed for unmanned technical vision systems in agriculture. It was then modified to help the military detect equipment hidden by vegetation or camouflage.
The Saker Scout complex is constantly being improved to recognize new types of objects or vehicles. It already interacts with all existing situational awareness systems of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, in particular, with the “Delta” system, which combines data from drones and satellites to create detailed maps of the battlefield.
Ultimately, developers want UAVs to be able to strike quickly and efficiently without human intervention. In their opinion, this can play a decisive role in the victory over Russian troops. Despite calls against the use of autonomous killer robots, Saker Scout believes its AI system can save lives and is constantly working to update and improve it.
We will remind you that ammunition for FPV drones that can penetrate armor has been developed in Ukraine. This weapon is effective against lightly armored vehicles – self-propelled howitzers, BMPs and armored personnel carriers, which are protected by anti-accumulative and anti-drone means.
