The Defenders of Ukraine Hit russian Tor Missile System with American Switchblade 600 Kamikaze Drone (Video)
Ukrainian troops destroyed russian Tor surface-to-air missile system in the Donetsk region. The strike was carried out by an American Switchblade 600 kamikaze drone.
According to the press service of the 14th Separate Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Regiment, the cost of such an air defense system is about $25 million.
It is noted that the operation to destroy the russian SAM system was carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine in cooperation with the 14th Separate Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Regiment, which hunted for the russian system. After detecting the target, the reconnaissance drone operator continued tracking it and transmitted its coordinates to the Switchblade 600 operators, who hit the Tor with an attack drone.
As soon as the Ukrainian military launched the drone, the air defense system started moving from its combat position. At that moment a precision-guided munition hit it in the rear part of the hull. The second munition set the russian system on fire. It should be added that the system that was hit was the M2 version of the Tor surface-to-air missile system. This system is a most advanced variant of the TOR and poses a threat to Ukrainian drones.
Earlier War Ukraine-Russia News Hub reported that Ukrainian warriors of the 47th Brigade had repelled russian attack in Kursk region with Bradley IFV and Abrams tank.
