The Ukrainian defenders managed to land all the Russian attack drones “Shakhed” with the help of electronic warfare.
Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Combating Disinformation, made public the photos taken by the National Police.
The location and details of the disposal of the drones are not disclosed. Kovalenko noted only that the drone was successfully landed and did not detonate.
The police reported on the destruction of enemy ammunition. They posted another photo on their page in the social network. Shahed landed on it in another place.
The National Police does not specify any details – when and how it was possible to land “Shahedy”.
Other photos of the landed Shaheds began to be shared on social networks.
Because of the aerodynamic scheme of “Shakheda-136”, it is called “flying wing”. It is she who provides low resistance and, as a result, a high flight range. The drone is made of hetinax, and the propeller is made of wood. It has a two-cylinder carburetor engine, so it works very loudly and flies quite slowly.
The combat part of the drone is 30-40 kg of explosives. It can fly at a distance of up to 1600 km. At the same time, compared to cruise missiles, it costs a hundred times less – $30-50 thousand.
During the last night, the enemy attacked Ukraine with four attack UAVs of the “Shakhed” type from the south-eastern direction – Primorsko-Akhtarsk. All four enemy drones were destroyed in the Kirovohrad region.
It will be recalled that earlier the mobile fire group of the 251st battalion “Kyivska Sich” of the 241st separate brigade of the Kyiv city of TrO shot down the Russian drone “Shakhed” (“Geranium”). Photos of the wreckage were published online.
Before that, the first Shahed-238 strike drone with a jet engine was shot down on the territory of Ukraine. Serhii Flesh, a military expert in the field of communications, reported this. “Shahedi” has a Chinese engine. Iran recently exhibited it for the first time.
