The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine Officer Reveals Details of the Gaza Strip Operation
The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine disclosed details of a recent operation involving an officer identified by the callsign Twenty-first, who has served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine since February 2022. According to report, Twenty-first played a crucial role in the operation, which was initiated following a Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. The situation was deemed highly sensitive, garnering attention both domestically in Ukraine and among Western partners and Arab nations.
“We developed multiple evacuation strategies, yet obstacles persisted, and risks loomed,” Twenty-first stated, reflecting on the complexities of the operation. “It was an intricate maneuver, requiring constant adaptation and decision-making.”

The evacuation commenced on November 7, with Ukrainian citizens escorted through designated safe routes. The process unfolded in several stages, involving the submission and approval of citizen lists before actual evacuations from the Gaza Strip on specified dates.
“We managed to expedite the evacuation ahead of citizens from the russian federation, which underscored the efficacy of our efforts,” the intelligence officer remarked.
He added that the russians could have been preparing information operations against Ukraine. The evacuation concluded in December 2023, with the largest contingent departing in the third wave. Subsequent smaller groups were safely extracted with embassy assistance.
