The scouts of the Chornyi Lis Brigade have successfully executed surprise operation, resulting in the destruction of high-value russian 9S36 radar station. The radar, an integral component of the Buk-M2 surface-to-air missile system and valued at approximately $40 million, played critical role in guiding the system’s missiles to their targets.
A video released on the Brigade’s page captured the dramatic moment of the strike.
“Essentially, this is an antenna that helps guide russian SAM missiles to their targets,” the Brigade explained, emphasizing the significance of the equipment in enemy air defense operations.
Ukrainian operation was so swift and unexpected that russian forces had little time to mount a defense. In the footage, damaged russian equipment can be seen attempting to retreat, its antenna still deployed, futile effort against rapid Ukrainian assault.
