Ukrainian Forces Neutralize 850 Aerial Threats in a Week

In a remarkable display of resilience and military effectiveness, Ukrainian air defenses successfully intercepted and destroyed nearly 850 aerial threats within just one week. This achievement underscores the nation's commitment to safeguarding its airspace amid ongoing tensions.

Ukrainian air defense forces have destroyed 48 enemy missiles and almost 800 drones over the past week alone, according to a report by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Telegram.

More specifically, Ukraine’s Defense Forces shot down 841 aerial targets during the week, including:

  • 31 Kh-101/Kh-55SM cruise missiles;
  • 7 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles;
  • 6 Kalibr cruise missiles;
  • 4 Kh-59/Kh-69 guided air-launched missiles;
  • 442 Shahed-type attack UAVs;
  • 114 reconnaissance UAVs;
  • 237 other types of drones.

Throughout the week, Ukrainian Air Force units conducted around 160 sorties, including more than 90 escort missions and approximately 50 attack/air support deployments helping the forces on the ground.

Ukrainian pilots launched dozens of airstrikes against enemy targets, using a variety of aerial bombs and missiles. These strikes targeted command posts, logistics hubs, and concentrations of enemy troops and equipment.
