The Defenders of Ukraine Destroyed russian RBU-6000 Rocket Launcher on T-72 Tank Chassis (Video)
The press service of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade reported on Thursday, August 1, that the warriors of the unmanned systems battalion, in cooperation with adjacent units, hit a russian RBU-6000 rocket launcher mounted on the chassis of T-72 tank in Kharkiv Oblast.
The video shows at least two FPV-drones hitting a russian vehicle, causing the vehicle to catch fire. The further fate of the enemy equipment is unknown.
This vehicle is a rather rare target for the Defense Forces of Ukraine, but it is unknown how actively and effectively occupiers use such weapons on the battlefield.
It first became known that russia was experimenting with the RBU-6000 in the fall of 2023. For the first time occupiers chose to install this rocket launcher on the MT-LB armored personnel carrier. It is known that russians often use this vehicle for such experiments. In particular, we can recall how the A-222 Bereg coastal artillery gun was installed on it.
Later, in 2024, the first footage of russians using this weapon appeared. In particular, it was possible to see that it was still loaded manually, and that it was probably fired primarily at night.
This year, the RBU-6000 launcher was also seen on other chassis. For instance, at least two such systems on T-80 tank chassis were spotted in January.
Eventually, russians showed a third version, where the RBU-6000 was installed on an Ural truck. The vehicle was spotted in the territory of the temporarily occupied Luhansk Oblast.
Earlier War Ukraine-Russia News Hub reported that four S-400 launchers had been destroyed in Ukraine’s attack on Crimea.
