Is Ukraine Capable to Destroy russia’s Newest S-500 SAM Systems?
In early June, it was reported that russian occupiers had transferred some elements of their newest S-500 air defense system to the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea.
It is likely that russian troops will test the new SAM system in combat conditions.
In his comments to the We-Ukraine TV channel, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malyuk, stressed that Ukraine was closely monitoring all movements of russian military equipment on the territory of occupied Crimea.
“We are constantly working all the time, including on enemy air defense systems. Of course, there will be many different surprises ahead,” Maluk noted.
He also noted that for security reasons, he would not disclose all details.
“There are a lot of plans, and they come from analyzing situation on the battlefield. But I will not disclose them,” the SSU head emphasized.
