The Group 13 Commander Reveals Details of Successful Attack on the Ivanovets Ship

In a recent report, the Commander of Group 13 unit of Defense Intelligence, known as Thirteenth, revealed details about successful attack on the Ivanovets ship. The operation, employing ten drones, showcased the capability of a small team to deliver a significant blow to the enemy. Six out of the ten drones deployed in the mission struck the Ivanovets ship, demonstrating the precision and effectiveness of Ukrainian-made technology.

The success of this operation underscores a shift in modern warfare towards reliance on technology rather than manpower. Every aspect of the operation, from assembly to design, equipment, engineering, and software, was of Ukrainian origin, highlighting the nation’s self-sufficiency in defense technology.

Commander Thirteenth emphasized the pivotal role of technology in future, where the ability to deploy advanced systems swiftly and accurately will be paramount. Training operators to maneuver drones effectively offers a strategic advantage, enabling rapid response and adaptation to changing battlefield dynamics.

The initial target of unit’s operations was the Ivan Khurs, the latest reconnaissance vessel of the russian federation. Following this, we achieved success in two additional missions, striking the Sergey Kotov vessel twice. Moreover, our operations resulted in the sinking of two landing boats, each carrying armored personnel carriers, near Chornomorske in Crimea.

While acknowledging that Ukraine doesn’t have a fleet yet, the Commander expresses confidence in the nation’s trajectory towards enhancing its maritime capabilities.

“We are not yet the fleet but confidently moving toward it. We will work much more efficiently and massively this year, so there will be much more results,” the Commander said.
