How Many 122mm and 155mm Projectiles Can Be Transferred to Ukraine Shortly

This includes 500,000 of 155mm and another 300,000 of 122mm munitions, as reported by the Czech publication Seznam Zpravy.

“We need to support Ukraine by supplying ammunition from all possible sources. We need to be as innovative and flexible as Ukrainian soldiers and look for military equipment everywhere,” Pavel explained.

As noted, these munitions could reach Ukraine within “a matter of weeks,” provided the condition of securing funding for the supply is met jointly with partners in the United States, Germany, Sweden, etc. The exact location where the munitions were found is not disclosed.

And if everything succeeds, it will be very positive news, considering the critical shortage of artillery munitions.

For example, at the beginning of January, it was reported that the russian army could fire up to five times more artillery munitions than Ukraine, with 10 thousand units per day for the russian occupying forces compared to two thousand for the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Later, it became known that the shortage of munitions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine had almost doubled in a year, and last year, it was noted that the deficiency of artillery shells would be covered by FPV drones.

Reminder, in early February, it became known that the Czech Republic proposed to allies to purchase almost half a million artillery munitions for Ukraine—specifically 450 thousand—outside the EU, including in South Korea, South Africa, as well as Turkey (in the latter case, a scenario is entirely possible where the Turks will replenish American stocks, and the U.S. will transfer the corresponding quantity of munitions to Ukraine).
