The commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Mykola Oleschuk, shared a video of the strikes on the Belbek airfield near Sevastopol in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
He also thanked everyone who participated in clearing the peninsula of the invaders.
“Did you know that the 204th Sevastopol Tactical Aviation Brigade is part of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine? So, her regular base is Belbek airfield! Ukrainian aviators will definitely return home to their native airfield,” Oleschuk captioned the video.
We will remind, today in the evening, explosions and a fire occurred on the northern outskirts of Sevastopol in the temporarily occupied Crimea, approximately in the area of the Belbek airfield. Smoke can be seen from different parts of the city.
Locals also reported that many fire engines went to the Belbek airfield in the area of the fire. In Sevastopol, the smell of burnt rubber and petroleum products was strong.
