Avdiivka was entered by the occupiers via an underground tunnel
The Russian occupiers advanced in the southeastern part of unconquered Avdiivka. This, among other things, was reported by experts of the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) in today’s report on the situation on the fronts in Ukraine.
In turn, the authoritative domestic compiler of frontline maps and military expert “DeepState” did not record any serious changes to the front line in this area.
See screenshots of his card for January 21 and 23 for comparison. On the latter, we tentatively marked the progress of the parties with red (invaders) and blue (Armed Forces of Ukraine) arrows.
In its report for the past day, “DeepState” mysteriously wrote: “Strange events are ongoing on the southern outskirts of Avdiivka. Many actions of the enemy cannot be logically explained. “Zenith” was not captured by the enemy, so you can be calm for that flank. Now it is important that katsaps are not allowed to gain a foothold in the private sector.”
The Telegram channel “Donbas Operative” reported “interesting” details of the interventionists’ breakthrough in Avdiivka with reference to our anonymous defenders. It seems that the enemy went to our rear either through an underground trench or through a pipe 80 cm wide and 2 km long. At the same time, part of the soldiers of the Armed Forces found themselves surrounded. Information requires alternative confirmation.
