Ukrainian military observers spread the information that the Russians crawled through the tunnel to the rear of the Defense Forces positions in the “Tsarska Okhota” area. This tactic helped the occupying units achieve some success, albeit (as in most cases) with heavy losses.
Ukrainian military publications cite some theses from the story of a Russian who climbed this pipe. Probably, he did not go on this route first, but some time after the first enemy sortie. According to him, there were already bodies of Russian soldiers underground, who did not even have time to reach their destination.
“It has a diameter of about one and a half meters, so you can move on it only in a bent state. According to rumors, several people have already suffocated inside the pipe and there was one suicide. There could be up to 300 people there. They immediately told me that I can say goodbye to the big backpack.” – recalls the occupier.
According to the occupier, other Russian invaders take the things left in front of the pipe. This happens systematically.
When moving through the pipe, a group of soldiers stopped every 20-30 meters, because there was nothing to breathe. Besides, there was cold water at the bottom of the pipe. In such conditions, the invaders moved about 1,200 meters to get behind the positions of the Defense Forces.
Observers also note that the sounds of the work of sawing the passages in the tunnel were masked by the active fire of artillery and mortars.
Russians who managed to survive after the route through the tube complain about the inhumane conditions. Some of the occupiers could not withstand the exhausting route. But, despite the loss, the plan of the invaders (according to the so-called Russian media bloggers) gave certain results – the Ukrainian position was attacked unexpectedly.
The Russians continue to use any means to win tactical successes. Previously, “Ukraine-Russia News Hub” wrote about the attempts of the occupiers to dig trenches near Avdiyivka.
