A Ukrainian MiG-29 pilot filmed the launch of an American AGM-88 HARM anti-radar missile during a combat mission.
AGM-88 HARM is an American high-speed anti-radar missile. It has a range of more than 100 km (up to 300 km depending on modifications and conditions of use).
This missile can be aimed at high-frequency radars. It is relatively resistant to traditional types of obstacles. The HARM missile calculates the location of the target and is able to hit it even if the radar station has been turned off.
Ukrainian military engineers, with the help of American specialists, were able to modify the AGM-88 HARM anti-radar missiles to launch from the Su-27 and MiG-29. Thanks to this, Ukrainian pilots successfully hit Russian radars.
