Russian invaders breached Avdiivka from the north
The Russian occupiers entrenched themselves on one of the streets on the northern outskirts of Avdiyivka, one and a half kilometers from the entrance to the city. There are heavy battles. Yuriy Butusov, editor-in-chief of War Ukraine-Russia News Hub, announced this today at 2:09 a.m. on his Facebook page.
As recently as yesterday, the authoritative domestic compiler of frontline maps and military expert “DeepState” reported that the enemy occupied the northern outskirts of Avdiyivka, which we have already written about. However, his dry presentation of information did not raise a wave of hype, unlike Yuri Butusov.
At 12:09 a.m., journalist and recognized informal military expert Andriy Tsaplienko wrote about it even more sharply than Butusov in his Telegram channel:
“…The situation in the city has become critical. Russian attack aircraft, taking advantage of the cloudy weather and the impossibility of high-quality aerial reconnaissance, entered the city from the northeast… They bypassed the Ukrainian battle formations and entrenched themselves in the buildings… They are hundreds of meters away from the main logistical artery of the Ukrainian defenders… In fact, the fate of Avdiyivka is being decided these days.”
Both journalists will see the salvation of Avdiyivka exclusively in attracting new reserves of manpower and weapons. In particular, Tsaplienko wrote:
“But the situation is not hopeless yet, say the military. If there are infantry reserves that have experience of fighting in urban areas, the Russian breakthrough can still be eliminated, as it was two weeks ago in the area of ”Tsarskoy Okhota” and Soborna Street (in the south of Avdiyivka).”
But if there are no reserves? Stanislav Bunyatov (Osman), a blogger and fighter of the 24th separate assault battalion “Aidar” of the 5th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, called on everyone not to whine in his Telegram channel “Govoryat Sniper”.
First, it will not help our defenders, it will only demotivate them further. Secondly, the bad situation is observed in many areas of the front, where we are forced to retreat – who knows how to fix it, can try.
The main thing is that our defenders do not get surrounded in Avdiivka…
