​Ukrainian Husy-9 Group Neutralizes russian Kasta-2E2 Radar (Video)

On February 13, 2024, the Husy-9 group of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, conducted a targeted operation against russian Kasta-2E2 radar station situated near the russian-Ukrainian border.

The Kasta-2E2 is a mobile three-coordinate radar system designed for airspace surveillance, coordinate determination and identification of airborne targets. Operating in the small range with circular scanning capabilities, it possesses the ability to detect objects at low altitudes and relay their coordinates and motion parameters to the air defense system, with a detection range of up to 150 km.

Following the strike, russian Kasta-2E2 system was rendered inoperable, and the radar crew suffered casualties.

Prior to the Ukrainian reconnaissance operation, the radar system was actively monitoring airspace over the Kharkiv and Sumy regions of Ukraine, as well as areas spanning Belgorod, and potentially the Kursk and Voronezh regions within the russian federation.
