The Pentagon has admitted that it is investigating an egg-shaped UFO that was observed at close range by one of the American helicopter pilots. So there is a chance to find out whether American military pilots have visual hallucinations, or whether they actually encounter aircraft built by “aliens”.
The case of the “egg-shaped UFO” (unidentified flying object) became famous in January 2025, when one of the retired military pilots Jake Barber revealed as a whistleblower that he had taken part in secret government missions to collect technology used by “aliens”.
In theory, the case was no different from the many other cases in which U.S. military pilots reported encountering UFOs and which were officially dismissed by the Pentagon. However, Barber went much further, admitting that he had been involved in the “recovery” of one such object.
The information now provided by the Pentagon shows that the initially mocked testimony has now been taken as seriously as possible. Now, the results of the investigation can be made available to a much wider audience than in previous UFO cases.
So the case will be very interesting, especially because, according to Barber, something was flying over the United States that he had never seen before and that works in a completely unknown way.
In January 2025, an American pilot revealed that during one of the flights, he was ordered to search a specific area and there, at an altitude of about 150 feet (46 meters), he spotted an object lying on the ground, resembling a white egg. Interestingly, this object was supposed to have neither an engine nor a thermal signature.
The American pilot and the entire crew then decided that it was something that could be classified as NHI – Non-Human Intelligence.
Initially, attempts were made to downplay Barber’s testimony, pointing out, for example, that on his LinkedIn profile he described himself as a “disabled veteran”. However, it is not a mental disability, as evidenced by Barber’s employment as chief pilot for San Joaquin Helicopters & Coastal Helicopters in California. In addition, his testimony was reportedly corroborated by three high-ranking former U.S. military officials.
The egg-shaped shape of an unknown object is not new in UFO history. The most important case here is that of 1957, recorded at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. Two controllers in the tower at the time noticed a glowing white object, vertically elongated and lacking wings and tail, which flew across the runways. However, this issue was officially downplayed.
Now the US Department of Defense has confirmed that it is investigating the case of the “egg-shaped” object. So there will have to be an official report that will refer to Barber’s official testimony. Interestingly, the case of an “egg-shaped” UFO (or rather an unidentified aerial object (UAP) has been added to 21 other similar events that have been reported in the US armed forces and are currently being investigated there.
In fact, there were many more such cases. The AARO (All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office), created by the U.S. Department of Defense to investigate UFO and UAP reports from government agencies, has recorded as many as 757 unidentified anomalous phenomena. Most of them were noticed between 1 May 2023 and 1 June 2024. But that number also includes 272 UFO incidents that have occurred before and have never been reported to the public.
Contrary to appearances, the work of the AARO office may indeed end with something concrete, because the existence of this institution depends on it. Finally, one entity has been created that is responsible for the analysis of UAP cases and which can later be accounted for for it. Especially since it is not only about cases registered by the armed forces. UFO reports are to be forwarded to the AARO through the Department of Defense, such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which in turn collects this data from civilian pilots.
Ordinary citizens, on the other hand, will not be able to send their observations, as they are still left with contact with the non-governmental National UFO Reporting Center, which has been operating since 1974. However, the center does not have the capacity to investigate government agencies, which is what the AARO office was created for. Of course, many journalists doubt the real agency of this office. It is still part of theThe Department of Defense, which previously restricted access to its knowledge of UFOs and dictated what was and was not allowed to be disclosed.
This can even be seen in the recent testimony of Jake Barbera, who, on the one hand, talks about his participation in the action of collecting alien technology, but on the other hand, did not directly confirm that the Americans took the object he detected from the ground and moved it somewhere. Such declarations are also not to be found in American media coverage of the subject.
However, the problem is big, because information about abnormal phenomena is often provided by military pilots. Disregarding their reports shows them as people with visual hallucinations and fantasies. Meanwhile, pilots are officially created as well-trained people, with a particularly trained sense of observation. In addition, they know very well what it can mean for them to submit false reports.
The issue is all the more sensitive for the Department of Defense because unidentified flying objects are increasingly not actually associated with “aliens”.
The problem is that there is still no indication of how to deal with such cases. An example is the unidentified drones that have been appearing more and more often over American air bases and strategic facilities without permission for three years. A report published by AARO in November 2024 shows that of the 757 UAP cases recorded, about 300 were the result of drones, birds and balloons.
Another 400 events were too poorly documented to be investigated. So there are 21 cases left that will be covered by further research. Importantly, this research will be supervised by the US Congress.
A special task force has even been created there to declassify various government secrets – including those related to UFOs. Its leader was a member of the House of Representatives, Anna Paulina Luna, representing Florida.
Not only did she previously serve in the U.S. Air Force, but she is also a member of the Republican Party.
Theoretically, it should therefore count on the help of Donald Trump, who has already signed an order on the declassification of files concerning three assassinations: John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King. What has become the rule for Trump in relation to political assassinations, does not have to be the rule in the case of technology. possibly obtained from “aliens”.
