Damages caused by the destruction of the Shukhevych museum building by Russian troops on New Year’s Eve amount to 2 million 258 thousand hryvnias. This is only the cost of the building, because the damages due to lost property are still being calculated. Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of the Lviv OVA, announced this on Facebook, reports Ukrinform. “As a result of being hit by the wreckage of an unmanned aerial vehicle, a fire broke out in the museum of UPA Corporal General Roman Shukhevich on Bilogorshcha Street in Lviv. There are no injured or dead. The building was completely destroyed. Damages – 2 million 258 thousand hryvnias. This is just the cost of the building. Damages due to lost property are still being calculated,” Kozytskyi informed. According to him, memorial items of Roman Shukhevich are lost: a table, chairs, an armchair, a piano, as well as a bust of Roman Shukhevich by Mykhailo Chereshniovsky and a sculpture of Stepan Bandera by Yaroslav Trotsky.
