Russia has accumulated missiles, but cannot replenish them quickly. Therefore, in winter, self-detonating drones will play a major role in attacks
Ukranian military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko wrote this on Telegram.
According to Espreso Tv, two months ago, on September 21, the Russian troops launched their last missile strike using air-launched Kh-101/555 cruise missiles.
On September 25, they used Kalibrs and similarly, have not used them again since that time.
Thus, in the past two months, the Russian troops could have prepared at least 120 Kh-101/555s and 60 to 90 Kalibrs just by producing missiles.
“To understand, in case anyone forgot, this is not even the potential for a missile strike on February 24, 2022. During the entire month of October 2022, Russia used more than 170 missiles, of various nomenclature, but mostly Kh-101/555, against Ukraine,” Kovalenko wrote.
Despite the ability to produce missiles, Russia is incapable of replacing ammo as quickly as it should in order to achieve conditional efficiency. It did not achieve its goal of total darkness across Ukraine and utter destruction of the energy infrastructure in 2022-2023, but instead triggered the building of its survival and resistance.
Russia can now produce in 2 months what it spent at the beginning of the war in 24 hours.
“This will certainly affect the tactics of using missiles in the winter of 2023-2024, which will play more of a secondary role, and ‘kamikaze’ drones on the contrary will play a primary role,” the expert concluded.
